Gen+ Dynamic Youth Award

Through a new partnership with Youth Scotland, we’re delighted to be able to offer the brand new Gen+ Dynamic Youth Award to schools across Scotland.

Schools participating in Gen+ can now follow a direct pathway to our Dynamic Youth Award level 3 and gain SCQF credit points at the same time, without adding to existing workloads.

This is a huge opportunity for schools seeking meaningful, credible recognition of young peoples’ wider achievements without sacrificing high-quality meta-skills learning.

What this unlocks for schools
  • A nationally recognised SCQF Level 3 Award (1-3 credit points)
  • Achievable through existing Gen+ programme participation, with clear progression to Youth Achievement Award (Level 4)
  • Formal recognition of skills such as communication, leadership, collaboration and resilience
  • Alignment with curriculum reform priorities and skills-based learning
  • Strengthens learner voice and personal goal-setting
  • Flexible delivery — schools choose the learning that counts
  • National quality assurance and reporting in place
What’s involved?
  • Complete one of our Gen+ courses, or design a custom course to suit your learners.
  • Work through 8-10 lessons – you’ll find all of our learning and teaching resources on our Web App.
  • Pupils set a challenge, and complete reflection worksheets as evidence of their work.
What will you get?
  • Awards training for staff from Youth Scotland.
  • 10 free pupil award spaces – additional students cost £7 after this.
  • An Award booklet.

As reflections are already incorporated into the Gen+ programme, this means that for young people completing the Gen+ Dynamic Youth Award, there is no additional pressure or workload placed upon them.
